Biography - Dr. Cheryl B. Richardson
Dr.
Cheryl B. Richardson is president of CBR Consulting, LLC which specializes in human resources and organization development consulting
services.
Dr. Richardson has over 25
years experience in the human resources area. Most recently, she was Senior
Director of Human Resources for McDonald's Corporation overseeing an organization
with over $3 billion in revenues. She has consulted with human resources
professionals and Managing Directors in the US, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia,
Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
Dr. Richardson received her
PhD in Organization Development from Benedictine University, her MS in
Management Science from Binghamton University and BA in Elementary Education
from Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College.)
Dr. Richardson holds professional
memberships in the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), Society
for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Organization Development Network
(ODN), Academy of Management (AOM), and Chicago Organization Development Institute
(CODIC).
Dr. Richardson serves as Secretary
for the Board of Managers of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boys &
Girls Club of Chicago. She serves as an Adjunct Professor at Benedictine
University in Lisle, IL. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta service
sorority. She also volunteers with
the Community Career Center in Naperville, IL and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Richardson was honored with the Community Career Center's 2006 Dwyer Award for outstanding service to the organization and also received the 2006 Influential Women in Business Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Business Ledger.
Dr. Richardson co-authored (with Gina Hinrichs, PhD) the article "Seeking Solutions, Discourse and Progress Towards the Future." It appears in the August 2007 edition of the AI Practitioner which is an international magazine published in London.

Dr. Richardson is a 2011 recipient of The Chicago United Business Leaders of Color award.
